Access
  • Timely access to the supports and services that will assist with your needs.
  • Access to your service user information as per our policy.
  • You must be present when our staff comes at the scheduled time.
  • Please notify the Simply Helping office in advance if you are unable to keep the appointment.
  • Safety
  • To be treated with respect, dignity, and regard based on your culture, race, gender, beliefs, values, impairments, personal needs, and any special requirements.
  • advising our staff of anything that can affect your comfort or safety when using supports (such as smoking, pets, etc.)
  • Recognise that aggressive, violent, or abusive behaviour will not be accepted.
  • Respect
  • To be treated with respect, dignity, and regard based on your culture, ethnicity, gender, beliefs, values, impairments, personal needs, and any unique requirements.
  • Inform staff of any circumstances or factors that they should be aware of so that they can respond to your requirements.

  • To be informed clearly, timely, and openly about services and support, as well as any expenses that may apply.
  • To be informed of the name, role, and gender of the staff member who will be assisting you directly.
  • Please let us know if you don't understand and ask for more information.
  • Inform the staff if English is not your first language so that you can be given the option of using an interpreter service if necessary.
  • Participation
  • Participate in decision-making regarding your supports.
  • Request support from an advocate
  • That you participate in support planning.
  • Discuss your concerns or decisions with the professionals who are assisting you.
  • If you have any questions concerning your supports, ask for more information.
  • Privacy and Confidentiality
  • The privacy and security of any personal information given are safeguarded.
  • With your permission, your health information may be shared with relevant health providers.
